There are many ways you can learn about and contribute to best practices for healthy landcare. Here are some highlights:
Workshops
April 9, 2019 (6-8pm) at the South Portland High School. Attendance is FREE. This workshop will cover how to grow a beautiful lawn without weed and bug killers and with less fertilizer.

June 6, 2018 (6:00-7:30pm) at the South Portland Community Center. This class will teach tips and tricks for growing a beautiful lawn without weed and bug killers, to help residents comply with the ordinance.
Annual Events
Opportunities several times a year to dispose of waste, free for South Portland residents
An annual state program to collect unusable pesticides; requires registration.
Get Involved
The PMAC serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council and the Sustainability Coordinator to oversee this ordinance. Come to a committee meeting or consider joining the committee.
